Our little inventor

Every year the 3rd graders at Moundridge have an Inventor's Fair. Each 3rd grader has to come up with an invention. They are encouraged to think of a problem they could solve to come up with an idea. Our 3rd grader, Tyler, decided that the problem he wanted to solve was how to work on rebounding while shooting baskets by yourself. So he came up with . . .

Tyler's Self Rebounder

The unique thing about this invention is that he can put it up and take it down by himself from the ground. No other person is needed. The board on the top, when the pole is lifted, flattens so it can pull straight down through the basket. We have to thank Grandpa Dale for spending an afternoon actually building this invention.

This is Tyler smiling while explaining about his invention. Whenever a person came by his table, he had to tell them what his invention was, how he came up with the idea, and how it worked. His invention received 10th place overall. There were some awesome inventions and it was fun to hear the students tell about them. Way to go 3rd graders!
