Well, harvest has been going. We started cutting last week and had a couple great long days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (with 12 hour days quite a bit gets done). But, we did not order 2 1/2 inches of rain in the middle of it --- now it looks like nothing more will happen until next week. Also, our footings for our house were to be poured today --- now delayed until Monday. Hopefully more rain will not come and they won't have to pump water out of the basement to do it.
As for harvest, let's just say we have definitely raised some farm kids. Ryan is out there as much as possible and has become the grain cart driver

this year (someone is still in there with him). He has even mastered dumping loads on the go (the combine keeps cutting and he drives right along beside it with the grain cart as it is unloading). He is definitely a natural at it --- kind of like his dad. Tyler enjoys riding in the combine (and taking little naps in there). As for Andrew, any combine he sees he say "bine" and any truck or tractor he says "uck" then follows it with "bbbbbbbbb". He's really starting to talk. He's taken a couple rides to town in the semi-truck. He also will go to the combine or tractor when they are stopped and get himself on the steps to crawl up (he can't quite reach the combine ones yet but has made it

up the ladder of the tractor). Here are a few pictures of the wheat progress so far. Maybe with a little break we'll all be able to get some sleep.
