Grant's Cleft Palate Surgery

We are in Kansas City for Grant's Cleft Palate Surgery. He is still not the 18 pounds they wanted to be, but finally hit 17 pounds and they agreed to do it. We're hoping this is the last surgery he will have to have for a while. They took him back around 2:45 or so, and expect it to take 2 hours or so. We probably won't see him for about 3 hours since they wait until anesthesia wears off. We hope to talk to the doctor around 5 or so. Here are some pictures we took this morning while in the pre-op room. It was amazing how happy he was although he hadn't eaten since 8 pm last night and hadn't had any milk since 10 pm. He was at least able to have apple juice until 10:30 this morning.

Happy as can be . . . he doesn't realize what is about to happen.
